Kent Big Day Out

We’re pleased to announce that the Kent Big Weekend is back for 2022, it will now be known as the Kent Big Day Out - we are calling on the county's tourist attractions, venues and destinations to get involved!

Kent Big Day Out celebrates the leisure, tourism and hospitality industry in the Garden of England by offering thousands of FREE tickets to Kent residents. This is a special time for residents to experience first-hand all that their county has to offer, providing a great opportunity for you to showcase your venue to a local audience and further afield through recommendations.

Following feedback from previous years, this year we have decided to deliver the campaign in September, an important shoulder month following the busy summer period, to continue to drive visits into the Autumn. Running from 17th September – 14th October 2022, this year we're extending the redemption period to allow residents more opportunity to enjoy a day out in Kent and our attractions and venues are not swamped with visitors over one short weekend.

12th August 2022 - Businesses must ensure online listings – including ticket offers, attraction information and images are up-to-date by this date
15th August 2022 – Public ballot for tickets opens
6th September 2022 – Public ballot closes
7th September 2022 - Winners are informed by email
13th September 2022 - Returned tickets are added to the website
21st September 2022 - Final list of winners are accessible via the CMS
26th September 2022 - Big Day Out takes place

Two tickets per household will be allocated by ballot to the lucky winners, although some family tickets will be available as well.
The event is organised by Visit Kent
The aim of Big Day Out is to encourage local residents to discover and experience the many wonderful attractions and activities available in their home county – and to spread the word to others.
